A little about me

Hi, I’m Michaela.

I started my coaching career after gaining the world of confidence from my pony – Mamma Mia. I had many years of very successful competing with her, and it was from this I decided it’s now or never to take the reins of my dream career in horses. I began the BHS Equine Excellence Pathway, and started working for Bar Pasture Stables in 2015; a lovely little riding school that caters for children as well as adults. I then went onto coaching at Brampton Stables in 2017, I taught with 11.2hh ponies up to 17.2hh horses and the children and adults in between. I now offer coaching on a freelance basis!

Going from stage one, to reaching my BHSAI, has been an amazing journey. I have ridden some fantastic horses at lovely BHS approved centre's, and enjoyed every second. I have had the pleasure of having coaching by some of the very best - from Trish Gardiner FBHS, Pammy Hutton FBHS, Diana Fisher, Carol Mailer, Jenny Ward BHSI and of course Laura Horrell BHSAI. I owe every success to them all.

Being apart of the BHS gives me a very professional outlook on coaching, and the vigorous exams bring out the best in you. So in becoming the best, and maintaining this standard, I am an Approved Accredited Coach. I feel this is the height of being recognised by the BHS, but don’t just take my word for it;

“Approved and accredited by the BHS, Accredited Professional Coaches meet the highest professional standards within the industry. Our community of professional coaches connects people, ideas and resources to embed world-class standards, drive continual professional development and promote innovation in equestrian coaching.” – The British Horse Society.

Along with the professional body, I am also fully insured, DBRS checked, and have up to date First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
